The world’s first chastity belt for your phone is meant to help those struggling with porn, or phone, addiction, according to its founders.
Chastity belts were used in the 1500’s and 1600’s as a way to prevent women from having sex and prevent any unwanted behavior.
Now, men will be protected from resisting the urge to go to porn sites.
The modern male chastity belt was created by The Coach, a men’s health app where experts help men struggling with porn addiction, erectile dysfunction, and low testosterone.
Lindsay Stevens, spokeswoman for The Coach, says: “You lock it on your phone and give the key to someone you trust.
“It protects you from temptation.”
The Coach chastity belt combines metal and leather to create a lock that can be attached to your phone.
The key wraps around the face of your phone and comes with adjustable leather straps so it can fit any style.
BIG PROBLEM
Porn addiction is a real, growing problem in the United States.
PornHub, a website with thousands of pornographic images, is the fourth most watched website in the country, falling behind Google, Facebook and YouTube, according to FHE Health.
In one month, the site had more than 2.14 billion views, more than Netflix, TikTok, Pinterest and Instagram combined.
In 2023, the porn industry generated the same amount of money as the NCAA, about $1.15 billion.
